Legendary dj Mark Moore of S'express will be joining us at Bodytalk this february as our special guest and treating us to a special 'Back to 88' set ...full to the rim-shot with acid, pianos and dirty primitive beats. Alongside Mark will be London's very own Arno D'Beaufort also gettin in on the '88 vibe' ....both alongside residents Rokk and Marky Mark.

Oh and Resident Jon Pleased will be back tickling our ear sweet ear drums in March, for all you Pleased Wimmin fans.

Its set to be a full on night till 4am, again.. so get yourself a disco nap before you comes out. You'll need it....

Dam, its been a while since i last update my blog... so here's my news. Fresh off the back of the amazing Grace Jones inspired night '2010' earlier in the year. Dalston Superstore asked us back for some more. 'Bodytalk' is a new monthly night feat the legendary 'Jon Pleased Wimmin' a regular back in the day at nights such as Pushca, Venus, Kinky Gerlinky, Miss Moneypennies, Ministry of Sound and Back to basics. Jon joins me alongside London regulars Jamie D Winter (computer blue, geek) Marky Mark (2010) and introducing Geoff Research (rong/dfa, bearfunk).
We're gonna wipe the dancelfoor clean with our sweet sounds of luv dancin. Our launch party is on Saturday 21st November and as mentioned with be at Dalston Superstore, 117 Kingsland High st, london E8. Its gonna be mazin!

Out now on Gulp' is my new track with Andrew Friendly a fine disco cover of Snap's Rhythm is A Dancer' available on Beatport. I dids a vid for it too which i posted below. 2010 @ Dalston Superstore

well, its nearly time for the launch of 2010 my new night at the Dalston Superstore.
Already the Superstore is creating a freshness to a somewhat tired east end scene and
its not hard to see why. Packed every night with the most eclectic of club nights this place
is fast becoming the home to many bewildered with the down turn on Shoreditch.

Celebrating black dance music from the late 80s and early 90s , 2010 is going back to the original days of house and revisiting some lost classics. Our Grace Jones themed night will
be higlighted with the wonderful Sam Amant doing her turn on some Grace classics accompanied by some shit hot tracks of her own. The Discotastic sounds of Jim Stanton,
scene legend Jeffrey Hinton and Five Stars 'Stedman Pearson will provide audio stimulation
alongside and introducing Marky Mark and Ms. P. And me of course.

We'll be playing Grace Jones tracks, visuals and i've created some fresh Grace inspired photography that will be adorning the walls on the night. All this and an after party at Vogue
just up the road from the Superstore. All good.

Im gonna post a mix as a taster to the night. Watch this space dudes.

and the other Steve, Workin This Pussy, you wet yet? Inner City 'Big Fun'....Nuff said'. Sirkin's recipe for the Juan Maclean bangs in the oven on a high temp into a 90s Rave anthem followed by The Gap Band droppin those Bombs and lastly 'Sudha with her bitchy DFA style slice of hash cake.

Flicking through my record collection in the basement of my mate's house, im stepping back in time. Each record presents a memory, a smile, a drunken moment, a particulary debauched party and almost always a tear. Realising that i have little space to put any of my records, ive decided to transfer all to a Digital vault, im gonna sell them once digitised but keep some of the sleeves.

All this tripping down memorys lane inspired me to create a mix. Reaching through the past i decided to compile some of my favourite Hip House, Acid and original House tracks. JOINERS ARMS R.I.P.?

The Joiners Arms on Hackney Road has always felt wrong so why does it feel 'so right?
I-d recently tokened it the 'Studio 54' of London. High praise indeed, hmmm? Thanks I-d you may have jus killed it. Its popularity as a late night drinking den has increased over the past few months. No longer can you get in on a Friday and Saturday night with ease of a slippery east end eel. Instead we form a queue and wait 20mins to get in. I mean its always been a busy place but WHOA NELLY..... Rumours of the establishment now wanting to charge £5 on the door are a sure fire reason, that its days are numbered. The Joiners has always had a reputation for the cheese and sleaze. One of the few homo haunts open till 2am and on a sunday evening its a fine place to bring in the new week. Enjoy it while it lasts, its like the Last Days Of Disco.....

Snow Man

So, London grinds to a halt under 25cm of Snow... Trains are cancelled and Buses skid off the roads. The phone lines were jammed this morning due to the amount of joyous employees informing their employers, that they were NOT going be into work today. Some finding that their Employers hadnt even made it in to recieve the calls.
Philip Schofield was absent from 'This Morning' leaving Fern to run the show and make Tea for Lily Allen who had been drafted in from GMTV because their guests hadnt turned up. Lily then managed to drivel on about her new single with a painstaking ease. Zoneing out i contemplated taking out Basil (the Irish terrier i live with) for a walk on the Common.
